BY-Laws

I have recently been asked to help revise our stations by-laws do you have any suggestions or advise our last revision was done in 2001? Can you think of any things you would or would not want to change in your own department?

My suggestion is to take a look at what's out there already. For the most part you aren't reinventing the wheel, so look to see how others have approached their by-laws. You can ask neighboring departments for copies of their by-laws, contact your state firefighting organization, or just do a Google search. Cherry pick, adapt, and modify what you think would work best for your organization.
