BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo fire crews were called to a fire in the city's fruit belt, Wednesday morning.
Officials say the woman who apparently lived inside the apartment ran down the street, badly burned, to say her apartment was on fire.
Officials aren't sure why she didn't just call 911.
They say she was disoriented and her torso was badly burned.
She was transported to ECMC and is in stable condition.
The fire was put out quickly.
Officials say there was a lot of smoke inside the new apartment.
No one else was injured.
Damage is estimated at about $10,000.
