TAMPA - A man was burned when the flame from a candle he lit ignited paint fumes in a storage shed, Tampa Police said.

According to a police report, "The victim lit a bug candle in the doorway of shed that was attached to the residence. The shed contain paint and other flammable liquids. Vapors in the air of the shed, possibly ignited from the candle, caused the paint to exploded."

Hot paint flew onto the arms of Bruce Bryant. Paramedics said he received multiple burns and was transported to Tampa General Hospital.

Firefighters doused the fire before it damaged the home.
