BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Mayor Byron Brown certainly got a mouthful while at the Buffalo Chophouse Thursday night.

Members of the Buffalo fire and police departments picketed outside the Buffalo restaurant.

They're demanding a new contract, something they haven't had since 2002.

Union leaders said the city made an offer three weeks ago that calls for health care concessions and pay raises of less than 1% per year for over six years.

"282's negotiating team said we would review their offer. Less than three hours after the meeting, the city withdrew the offer saying 'it was far too generous'," expressed President of Local 282, Daniel Cunningham.

The Mayor's office has not yet commented on those claims.
