LEWISTON, Idaho - Lewiston Fire Department Chief Gordy Gregg says the agency will try some on-the-go shuffling following the elimination of a division chief due to budget cuts.
Steve Minnis, who was hired Oct. 2, 2006, had been in charge of operations, including fire, emergency medical services and the hazardous materials response team.
He oversaw 45 full-time firefighters and 15 part-time reservists.
His position was eliminated Nov. 20.
Gregg says he will now handle some of those responsibilities with the remaining division chief, Linda Steputat.
