Body Found in Snuffed-Out LA Apt. Fire
(AP) LOS ANGELES
The bodies of a woman and a small dog have been found inside a San Fernando Valley apartment and authorities are trying to figure out what happened to them.
Los Angeles Police Detective Pat Barron says firefighters went to the apartment Thursday when the building's manager saw smoke seeping out from under the front door.
When firefighters went into the apartment, the blaze was already out, though they found the woman's body and that of the dog.
Police are continuing to investigate what may have happened.
