Does anyone know of a better designed helmet light, in a similar style to the traditional Garrity Disposable Life-Lites? That is what I have now, serving as my backup, but the button is not the easiest to reach. Does Garrity, or anyone else make an inexpensive light similar, but with a switch mounted on the "bottom". thus allowing it to be on the "top" when its sitting in my helmet.

If I am being unclear, this is the light and set-up I am referring to...

The Fox Fury is the only helmet light to have. It also has a red led in back for more safety. Batt. last forever I have had mine for almost a year and still on the first set of AA Batt. It is so light weight you don't even know its there. its not a spotlight. It will light up a full size room. You can also get a great price on Ebay. I have had just about all the helmet lights out there and Fox Fury is the best.
On both my Helmets I have the black jacks. A few of the guys have the track light on there bullards and there ok. I think a streamlight with a black jack mount is the only way to go. My black helmet I have 2 on it and my white I just put one on it.
First set of batteries? wow, are you using AA lithium for long "shelf life" or something? I know LEDs draw very little power, but a year with use?

I was looking at the compatability chart for fox fury... think I will wait until we switch from our Bullard FX/PX (not compatable with face shield) to our new Bullard UST helmets... any idea if they will work on that helmet WITH the leather front plate? (not getting the track light system... not my call... I'll just add a light to it myself).

If I can't get a fox fury to work on my (new) helmet... think I'll be using something with a Black Jack mount....
