This is a message that I wish all kids, teens and adults alike would listen to.It's a shame when people aren't thinking straight cause they are scared or stressed out and run back in to save something that is replaceable..My buddy lost his 15 year old son which was also my son's best friend this way, he ended up getting all the tenants in the 3 apt. place out and then in the confusion no one noticed that he had went back in to try and put the fire out and when the fire department went in they found him with an extinguisher in his hand close to where the fire was reported to have started.It was a very sad day and I have taught my boys to stay out cause if your lucky enough to even get out you damn well better be thankful and stay the hell out.Even my son gets very upset and every once in a while I'll catch him cursing his friend for being stupid and asking him why he didn't stay out.I tell all the kids I talk to that fire is bad but smoke is worse and that only firefighters with special gear can go into places like that and never try to do it let us!Sometimes when I hear of this I wish there was a way you could pull a "scared straight" tactic on some kids and show them some pictures of people who thought they could go inside without gear but I know you can't but I know that we have to pound it in their heads and if sesame street is going to help us then just another tool on our side.
