I over heard a conversation the other day that a pair of outstanding firemen were having about a county department in which the cheif had decided to wait and se if they were going to need the riggs before puting achool in the air brakes to keep them from freezing (it was the coldest day this winter). I want to know what the rest of you think is this bad judgement or the right call keep in mind this is a vol. dept. so theres no one at the staion to start thawing out the brakes if they do need them and they are already pushed for time in responce because of the bad driving condtions to the station not to mention to the scene once they get to the station and gear out.
