Austin Firefighters Rescue Residents Off Balconies At High-Rise Fire

AUSTIN, Texas - Six people required medical attention and some residents of an Austin high-rise complex were rescued from balconies after fire broke out about midway up the 15-story building.

The fire happened Monday night at the Cambridge Tower.

Firefighters say a candle left too close to a Christmas tree set the holiday item on fire.

Officials say two people suffered minor injuries, while four others were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Some residents were displaced following the fire on the eighth floor.
