ATLANTA, Ga. - Firefighters are battling a large fire at Kipp Ways Academy at 80 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd.
Video from the scene shows huge flames breaking through the roof of the large, three story brick structure. A second alarm was sounded shortly after the first crews arrived around 6:15 a.m. Friday. The firefighters are in a defensive mode.
Kipp Ways Academy is listed as a charter school serving students in West Atlanta.
