ATLANTA - An Atlanta firefighter was injured Tuesday battling a pre-dawn blaze in a seven-story building near historic Oakland Cemetery.

Fire officials say one firefighter suffered minor smoke inhalation and was taken to Emory Crawford Long Hospital in stable condition after the blaze broke out around 5 a.m. Tuesday on the roof of the six-story Oakland Park complex on Memorial Drive. The building houses condominiums and at least one restaurant.

Atlanta fire Battalion Chief David Rhodes says a grill with a gas line running to it may have been to blame.

Atlanta fire crews fought a fire less than an hour earlier at a home a few blocks away.
