FROSTBURG, Md. - A young man and woman were found dead inside a second-floor apartment above a Frostburg pizza restaurant after an early-morning blaze.


School officials confirm to 9NEWS NOW the victims were students at Frostburg State University. Alyssa Salazar was from Annapolis and Evan Kullberg was from Frostburg.

Deputy State Fire Marshal Bruce Bouch says the victims were trapped in the rear apartment above Four Star Pizza on East Main Street.

He says the fire was reported at about 4 a.m.

Investigators are also working to determine the cause of the fire.
