Ammunition Holds Off New Hampshire Firefighters During 3-Alarm Fire

SOUTH HAMPTON, N.H. - New Hampshire firefighters say they had to wait to extinguish a fire in a South Hampton garage until ammunition stored in the garage had exploded.

The three alarm fire on Sunday morning destroyed a recreational vehicle and the garage.

South Hampton Fire Chief Andy Head says there was also a shortage of water to fight the fire.

WMUR-TV says investigators believe the fire started in the camper.

It took crews about an hour to contain the blaze.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries.
