Should a persons age be a facture in determining if they can or cannot perform certain tasks for the fire department?  What about a persons weight?  Or should it be if you can perform your task performances in the allotted time no matter how old you are or how much you weigh?  I have been reading a discussion (and participating in it) where if you are older you are more stubborn, and over confident in your abilities.  What about those who are younger fresh out of school and academy should that same comment apply to them?

I am entertained by your enjoyment.
I am good with that.
My wife keeps telling me that, the "I am never wrong" part. The really bad part is she never is wrong!
:) This is what others have told me.... I personally think I am cute adorable and everyone loves me.... At least that is what I tell myself....
Yes, I fell out of my chair - ROLLING ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING MY ASS OFF ... it was true... I am still laughing... when you are good - you are good - you gotta own it !!!

mutually amused - then OUR work here is done!

and yes, I am quite prolific in many ways - this is just really not the forum for me to fully demonstrate my skills - but as you see, I like to add a little spice to the mix
yes, if only our husbands would learn that much earlier on - they (and us) would be much happier ;-)
We have no doubts !!!

But as you have noticed this crowd does not always appreciate those traits...
I have a 16" cast iron skillet that I have knick named "husband tamer" that my dad gave to me when I got married....
There is always room for change... :)
Well it's 5 pm on the east coast and I just read all the responses. I guess the bottom line is that, paid or volunteer, firefighters are going to die. We do our best but when the Supreme Chief calls, we all get our reward. We train and train, we take physicals, go to fire schools and evoc training but things happen. It's not like at a job where you run a machine, you push a button and the same thing happens. You never know what is behind a door - Who knew a propane tank was in the house? Who knew about the drunk driver that pulled into your lane? LODD's happen for many reasons, not because we're paid or vounteers - it's the known risk of the job.
NO NO NO - Bottom line is NO FIREFIGHTERS SHOULD EVER DIE....
Accidents happen when people become to comfortable with their job and forget about safety.
