Advanced EMT's

I was just wondering how many states besides Indiana have advanced EMT's. As a Advanced EMT u can start IV's run fluids and cardiac monatering..... i was just wondering...

yyea here we have emt-B emt-A emt-i and emt-P and instead of MICA we have ccemtp... which is critical care paramedic..

thanks matthew yes it does vary by protocol in some parts u can even push antibiotics which i never realy understood because an antibiotic doesnt really do anything for the pt when they are in ur care. but thanks for clearing it up

yes i could imagin that to get that cert u would have to live way out in the BFE. thats giving a lot of responsiblity to some one who is undertrained/qualified. but i guess its not any worse than a army combat medic where they give u a bag and a hand book and tell u to have at it
