This is how I add a photo or video, is this how you do it?

1. go to www.photobucket.com and sign up for an account.
2. once you have established your account, bookmark it for easy access
3. in one window, use your tabs to enable simply switching from one tab to another in lieu of going from window to window, again, my personal preference here
4. on photobucket, you can either load single or multiple photos
5. once your photo(s) are downloaded, your file library will start to build, enabling you to send photos that you have taken the time to download and file away for later use
6. the photos will appear as thumbnails, but only a larger size, below each photo will be a box giving you four (4) choices, select the second one down, or the direct link option, take your mouse cursor and click on the text in the box to the right of the words "direct link".
7. you know that you have successfully copied the link because a small yellow box pops up that says, "copied".
8. now click on the FFN tab, and to to the box that you use to enter text
9. there is a picture icon above with blue and green colors
10. place your mouse cursor where you want to place the photo and click the mouse button to select the location
11. now click on the photo icon
12. a box shows up displaying http://, highlight this and then right click your mouse (if on a PC) and select paste, the copied direct link language is then pasted into the photo icon address box
13. click add and you will see html language appear between
14. be sure to provide a blank line between this html language script and the text that you entered, you can usually click edit and add a line here and there 15. if you want to add a video, I use www.youtube.com and just like photobucket, started an account. You follow the prompts and add the required data for the video you want to download.
16. it takes longer to download the video but when it's done, an address pops up with instructions to paste the "embeded" data.
17. take this embeded address and just like the photos, paste into the box, leaving room between it and text or photos.
18. once you have completed this, click on the box on the lower right hand corner to "Add Comment".

Now you can post photos to enhance and enable you to better explain the thing that you are talking about on the FFN... for example... you are talking about tsunami's and you happen to have a photo showing one of the smaller waves that hit the coastline...

If you have never added a photo or video, at least between what I posted and whoever comments, you should have a pretty good idea how to "get er' done!"

For those that don't want any more accounts, you can uplaod direct to FFN from your hard drive.

In relation to YouTube, the Embed address appears at the right hand side of the video so you actually don't have to wait for it to stream and then get the embed code....
Hey Lutan! I've tried this but it seems to take longer to download a photo, a lot longer for downloading a video vs. doing it ahead of time and simply pasting from your library, which of course can be used in other forums, emails, web design, etc... Good to hear from you buddy. SB Mike
I'm with Lutan - I sinply upload my photos to my FFN gallery and call them into a thread from there. I've done the same with other forums, just upload to them the photos I wish to use there.
Right on Mike:)
