In order to get credit for a burn building with ISO, you have to meet all of the ISO requirements for burn buildings and fire training. The way to obtain the ISO requirements can be found here: http://www.iso.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&i...

You also need to meet the NFPA 1402 training center design standard for your burn building.

Thanks Ben but I have looked at all of these and built and run this burn building to these. The ISO did not give credit for ours yet in a neighbors city did. There is some difference between the two. 1 ours is 2 story with three burn rooms and two exits out of each box to the outside and a safe haven, fully lined with steel and vented in the top of each burn room for heat and steam control, the floor is lined with fire brick and the whole thing is sprinkled on the outside. We burn pallets for fuel.
The other one is 2 boxes laid in the shape of a T with one door in and one window with the fire room lined with brick and the sprinkler is a manned hose line on a fog stream. I will say that it was two different inspectors, ours said no and theirs said yes and give them credit.
I am a live fire instructor for Ga. and know these standards and thanks for the links it keeps me rereading them and anyone else can gain the info to. THANKS.
