In need of LODD accident investigation information
LODD & vehicle operation, does anyone know where I can find stats and other info on LODD's in trucks and personal vehicles? I want to put together classroom training on MVA's and LODD's. I am looking mainly for the accident investigation information. I have more then enough pictures and stories of MVA's but nothing on personal information. I am looking for drivers with CDL's and or long time operators to show it can happen to anyone. Can anyone help?

Go to the NIOSH website. Get the phone number for them and place a call. I get mail with every LODD. It breaks down the who what when where why. It is a phenominal education tool.

Go to www.firefighternearmiss.com. On the bar across the top the third tab is "search reports" You can get anyting you need and print off reports for traininng. It is a great resource. You can get on their email list and they send a report of the week. It set up for reporting near misses so that others and learn before they make the same error.
