How long can a firefighter work in full bunker gear, and scba before he needs to go to a rehab area. We are in west texas, and the temp has been up to 109, with humidity in the single digits, we guessed 20 to 25 minutes, but have no policy on it. Do other depts. have a protocol, or suggestions. Even 20 min. is a long time at 109 degrees.
