Need a truck

Looking for another truck for our dept. we are using a 76 mack now but could use a second pumper . Our budget is 16000 a year and most of that goes to fuel and ppe .

figure your budget and what you can pay for a loan payment.. then go to your local bank and take a loan.. our fire dept had to do this very small.. we made a 5600 payment every year till paid off. our budget about the same.. Then lots of fund raisers.. Door to door for the new truck.. People are willing to help must prove you will help yourself Not for sure where your money comes from ours is via contract.. So lots of work we have dances and june 15 a Fathers day breakfast buffet style.. We had a bullhead feed on mothers day.. Horseshoe tournaments.. Poker tourns, and soooo on... It alot of work.. Also their our depts who sell Trucks for small amts.. we got a airforce engine for free and then another from out of texas that they sold to us for $200.. So check around.. My brother is very good at finding deal.. e-mail and I will get info on how he found all these cool deals.. If I can help you then we have did something

Well, you could play the political game as well. Contact your local U.S. Congressman. Inform him of your situation and ask him for help. Your Congressman may be able to help with Govt. surplus equipment. Votes are votes & as it is comming up to election, they will try almost anything they can do to get more votes for thier party. Besides, this would make them look like a hero in the press as well. Just an idea, but if it works it works.
