We began in 1983.

Our original band name was "Paris".

We signed to Enigma Records in 1986 for approximately $30,000.00.

Our debut album was released in August 1986.

That my friend would be the group Poison. Before they were Paris they were the group called Spectres. Noone payed much attention to them in Pittsburgh so they moved to LA and got some make up happening and eventually developed a following so they changed to POISON.
