Hey everyone!

I am florida certified volunteer FF in the little town of Mascotte, FL. I just graduated standards this past January and I start EMT school in July. I do not wat o spend the rest of my life in Florida. I am interested in moving out of state eventually to North Alabama, North Georga, Tenessee, North/South Carolina area. Does anybody know the process to get my certification switch over to another state. Florida fire standards is currantly at 450 hours and will soon be going up to 500 and something. When I recieved my state certificate it came with an application to register for and obtain National Certification. Will this help me to do this?

Any information that you can give me would be a huge help.

Thank you

Kason,

If you have earned the opportunity to apply for IFSAC seals for your FFI, FFII, Hazmat Awareness, and Hazmat Operations...I would. I am certified in Texas as a Basic Structural Firefighter, but due to having my IFSAC's I work in a career department in NM. Just figured it might help. All you need to do is check on thats states protocols and see if they accept the IFSAC accredidations...if thats what is available

God Bless and Never Forget
All the states you just mentioned above except for Georgia and Florida are IFSAC states and require the IFSAC certification. As for the EMT I would definitely do the National Registry it will make certification in the other states almost seamless. The Firefighting courses you will most likely have to challenge the exams in that state since you don't have IFSAC.
Is there a way that I can apply for the IFSAC seals even though I live in Florida?
