Music Poll: Am I the only person in the Fire Service who listens to Hard Core Music
I am taking this poll to see if other people besides me and a fellow brother in my dept. listen to hard core or metal music. So let's hear it, and if not what type of music makes you feel ALIVE inside when you listen to it.

Tell me if you guys have heard of these bands for this is what I listen to ( Hard Core): Terror, First Blood, Hatebreed, Mad Ball, Sworn Enemy, Emmure, White Chapple, The Agony Scene, Bad Brains, Walls of Jericho, GFY, Agnostic Front, As Blood Runs Black, Looking Forward. I could go on and on, but if anyone else has heard of these type bands let me know. When I listen to these bands I feel like Superman!

You should if you like hard core or metal music. Ive had the chance to play with some of them back when I played in a hard core band. Not only is the music great but most of the people in those bands are good people to.

I don't really listen to hardcore metal, but I do listen to some along with just about every other genre of music from rock, hip-hop, r&b, and so on.
I also play the drums so I'm very "musical." I used to play the trumpet back in elementary school, but switched over to the drums in 5th grade and have been playing them ever since. It's been at least 8 years since I started.

Could you imagine a country rap song? It would sound something like this: Yo, Yo, Yo, My girl just left me, my dog just died, If I see that bi**h again I'll slap her in the eye.

I myself listen to everything from the hair bands to metallica, megadeth, hatebreed(who I'm seeing in concert next month!). Music like that just relieves so much stress without hurting anyone.

No, I've never played in a band before. I take private drum lessons in a nearby town and have been taking them for a little less time than I've been playing the drums. Playing the drums is more of a loved hobby of mine rather than something I would think about making money off of or something. I wouldn't mind playing in a band, though. I just haven't had that opportunity yet.
I actually don't have a set preference for a certain music genre when playing the drums. I can go from a rock track to a rap track one right after the other and be fine with it. It's not the genre that matters, it's the beat.

KISS (saw them live at the recent formula 1 Grand Prix here (I was a safety Officer for the event) and I hated the concert- thought they were shot playing live!!!)

I'm into all sorts but really hate death metal and some of this really "dark" shit that seems to be getting more and more popular...
