i need some advice
so there is this girl in my fire station, she's ems primary but occasionally will run a fire duty crew. she is sweet as icing to everyone but me. which i really don't care about. however what i do care about is this--- i was out for two months cause i had surgery on my ankle...well while i was gone we switched from msa to scott, i went up to the station last night to get qualified on it. my officer went over the pack with me and after about 10 minutes he had me put it on, turn my hood around, and crawl through a small obstacle course- well since it was my first time wearing it and i had gloves on, trying to take the pack off to get through the one obstacle posed as a challenge. and who do i hear laughing in the midst of everyone else encouraging me?- her (no names) but she was laughing at me and i dont know what to do about this. she is a complete b-tch because i pose "female competition" to her ( she likes to go to the fire house to flirt with the guys and i guess she thinks thats what i want) so i dont know what to do about her. her mom has gotten people kicked out for "talking" about her ( not that anyone was lying when they did call her names) but i need help, i do not know what to do about her short of punching her in the face!

i actually did find the best solution to that problem lol...i cut it to about my chin and i wear a bandana lol

I know she was laughing at me because afterwads i asked the officer that had been runing the drill for me. and i have been just sitting back and seeing if things will work themselves out- and they are not. and yes i did mention punching her in the face (and would never do it unless she took the first swing) but thats just cause im so frustrated- i never did anything to this girl to deserve this kind of treatment.

omg is our station slow! the only calls we get are bs mvas and alarm systems so ya we are slow and theres time for 'games'-- and i would never not go into a fire to save anyone- i dont care if it was someone who tried to kill me--i would not be able to live with myself.

just to give you all a hint at what she is like- here is a direct quote on her myspace "I’m the hottest volunteer firefighter in the State of New Jersey, if you want to contradict me I’m game."...she thinks shes all that and a bag of chips and i think the main deal with her is that she feels threatened by me. by the fact that people like me for me, not cause i talk dirty with them or cause i dress like a slut around them- but because im a good person and i like to think a good firefighter.
i just dont know what to do with this girl
if i go to a chief- ill just get more shit from her.
if i hit her- ill get kicked out and i dont want that
i just want her to knock it off with the attitude and give me a chance, cause thats one thing i never got with her- a chance. when she saw me all she saw was an attractive female who had the looks to steal her position as firehouse slut
youre all giving me good advice but unfortunately i dont think any of it will work

Ok - I'm going to have to throw my two cents in....In years past, we would play an insane amount of practical jokes on the person. Embarrass the crap out of her in front of everybody, and get them all laughing at her. Maybe she'll stop laughing at other people when she realizes she doesn't like it too much herself...No, no, no. That would never work.
Maybe you two should fight - but could you have someone put up the video so we could all see? No, no, no. That would never work.
I know! You could drop papers on her for creating a hostile work environment...Snitch. No, no, no. That would never work.
You could get her drunk, blindfold her and drop her somewhere miles from home. If it's meant to be she'll find her way back...Dammit that's not it either.

Well that leaves two options - either resign, or ignore her. Rise above her level and get serious about the job. The other members will respect you for that. If she doesn't - oh well, some people are like that.
Seems like some good serious advice has been given here, as well as some playful.... non-advice. Do you want a solution to the problem or not?

stay composed and profesional that is one thing she does not have on you,, stay on top of your skills.. Meaning practice your pac when no one is around become skilled with it.. Her competition is that you know your stuff and the guys at the station probally comend you for this and know you are not there to be a w--re.. So they tend to probally want to talk to you more knowing it a conversation about firefighting and not a tease.. Don't give her a reason or the mother for what ever reason she feels thats she needs to fight her daughters battle pretty lame to me. Stay true to the game and you will be fine.. And if that doesn't work oh hell punch her lol.....
