The city of Austell, GA will be hosting a tactical medic class, for all those interested, on July 14 - 18. The class details and other information is posted on tangentedge.org. This class combines plenty of hands on time with useful information. The instructors come from a hands on back ground and are very approachable. The class description from the site is listed below.

Medical Tactical Application Course A

POST, tactical medic cert. and PHTLS, CEUs
- Highly acclaimed by the SWAT and Special Operations community for extensive hands on, scenario based training. Topics include but not limited to: blood loss and control, hemostatic agents, tourniquet application, situational awareness, close quarter combat, weapons familiarization and transistions, intelligence gathering and disemination, airway lab and application, surgical crics, IV admininstration and application, high threat extraction and application, low light skill stations, hazmat Level A, suturing, wilderness medicine and the 24 Hours of Adrenalin scenario training. Operator based course. Mandatory eye protection. 5 days, 54 contact hours.
