We have a light duty rescue, 2 engines, 2 pumper/tankers, and a brush truck. As far as personel we have Chief, Asst. Chief, 1st Capt. (me), 2nd Capt. and basically 9 other firefighters. 13 of us total.
We run 2 Engines,3 large capacity tankers, and a brush truck. We protect about 1900 structures and have a large amount of open land and have a hard time wtih brush and woods fires from Jan until May. We run lots of EMS/First Responder calls as the closest ambulance in the county Ems system is 15 min or more away. We have no hydrants and rely on 2 fill sights w/ dry hydrants . We have automatic mutual aide agreements w/ all surrounding Depts. We border federal property so we have access to their fire dept and haz-mat team, as well as their technical rescue. We also have access to US Forestry for mutual aide.
