Can anbody tell me what kind of opportunities are out there for a firfighter/EMT or paramedic? I'm thinking about getting into emergency service as a career but I would like to know what kind of options I have. Also just for curiousity, are there any advantages of getting a start in the military for fire or medical? thanks

Well, I'm in EMT school as a senior in high school and heading for fire science in the fall. There are many things you can do with an ems/fire career. Arson investigation, fire marshall, wildfire firefighter, structural firefighter, in some areas ER EMT's, event EMT's/medics, hospital setting, etc...I could go on.
