Major alterations to turnout gear
Has anyone had any experience with getting turnout gear alterations done. We have a couple member who recently had gastric bypass surgery and have lost in access of 100 pounds. obviously their custom fit turnouts no longer fit. The chief is reluctant to purchase new replacement gear if he can get theirs altered. does anyone know of any manufacture that performs this type of work ?

How old is their gear, and have you tried the vendor that your F.D. bought them from? Stay safe!

with that much weight loss (which is great for them) but... I dont know if the manufacture will alter them that much.
I would have to say you might end up buying new, because of material and cut lines. the cost of altering that much might be to expensive.
