Lion Apparel - Janesville
We have had them for several years and are very satisfied.
Will buy more when it's time.
Don't let anyone tell you that it's all the same. It is not.
There is some real junk out there, but I will refrain from naming it.

You should SEE what they've got me tricked out in......
I JUST got department issued boots in my size.
oh man...custom...that was a good one.......(wiping tears from my eyes)....

ugh....I got the worst blister on my heel the other night---I didn't do a sock check before I ran out of the house and had on my little running socks---and ended having to walk back and forth one million times --it was practically bleeding by the time we got back to the station.

Someone, I forget who, might have been Tiger, said "make SURE you keep an extra shirt and socks in your locker" ....which I summarily forgot about.
I won't make the same mistake twice.
I'm still running around with a HUGE bandage on the back of my heel ---I don't need a huge bandage, but that's all I had in the house...it was that or ten miles of gauze and surgical tape.

When I got in we had the old duc coats and some were using the rubber coats. hip boots and the old squad 51 type helmets.
Not to mention the old steel cylinders those were a treat to do ladder work with.
Now we use janesville custom measured and leather boots.

all I've ever had is Janesville. I have used other but it was with other departments and so far Janesville has been the best. and boots I have used several different types from black diamond rubbers to pro warrington leather pullups and i currently have 2 pair which are haix i have a pair of zip ups which i would reccomend to everyone. and a pair of haix leather pull ups which are also comfortable and there tight on your foot and ive never had a blister with em and i barely ever wear socks during the middle of the night.

I had handme down old morning pride loved it now i have globe but thats only for a couple more week we got a grant last year for 15 new sets of gear i got fitted for morning pride and it is so much more comfertable

OMG! Calves too big for bunker boots? I've had a few different types of gear over the years. Now we use Morning Pride FDNY style gear which fits like a glove! Stay safe!

Moring pride are awsome I love the knees on the new pants you can crawl for hours! they might be made in Germany but Haix are the most comfortable boots I have worn. Well worth the money I paid for them! the department I volunteer with uses janesville and we haven't had any issues with them.
