We're just beginning to test some advanced member search fields. This process will likely evolve over the coming months, but you can take a test drive here:

Right now you can ONLY search the user member name, primary department, department type and rank, relationship status and training fields. This will be adjusted down the road and we may adjust some profile questions to produce better results.

Its a little clunky due to some limitations of the platform, so the less fields you fill out initially the better. There are not a lot of OR, AND, etc. features so keep it simple for the best results :)

I've also added a 'Browse by State' drop down in the Member Search box on the right side of the page. Since we've got users from all over, and filling out the location field is not required, this doesn't return all results. It also searches the entire profile, so it could be where they are now or in the past, but its close and also will continue to improve.
