The concensus on this forum appears to be that a major concern of a lot of the members is the budget cuts in their departments.
It makes me angry to read that numerous city governments are being forced by a lack of funds to cut fire departments budgets. Stations closing, firefighters being laid off, etc.
The most frustrating part of all is that a vast number of the general public don't seem to bat an eye when this occurs. Do they not realize that they themselves could very well need the services of their local fire department? Service that just might not be there in their time of need.
