I'm taking my city's exam and I know there's a section called "Life Experiences Survey" and also "Work Styles Questionnaire" What I dont know is what answers they are looking for. Its pretty easy to tell what the "best sounding" answer is, but are they really looking for that. Or are they looking for an honest answer here.
Heres an example from the WSQ:
you have the option to strongly disagree, disagree, unsure, agree, strongly agree...you know the type....
1. I set goals and strive to achieve them.
2. I prefer to work alone.
3. I find myself taking control in group situations.
Yep these kinds of questions. I mean its clearly obvious what ones you would think they want you to pick, but am I better off answering honestly, even if it jeopordizes getting a position.
And now from the LES:
1. Your previous supervisor would describe you as someone who usually does:
A. more than your fair share of the work that must be done
B. more work than most of your coworkers
C. about as much work as most of your coworkers
D. almost as much work as most of your coworkers
E. less work than most of your coworkers
2. Within the past 2 years, how many times have you taken a day off because you did not feel like going to work?
A. never
B. once
C. twice
D. three times
E. more than three times
Sorry this is such a long post, I just dont really get how they want these answered....truthfully or the best sounding to them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Again sorry about the long post
