Henrico County is located just out side the captial of Virginia. We are a fully staffed career fire and ems dept. We still have a few vollies on the EMS side of things but not to many.

We are 600 firefighters strong not including admin staff.
We have 20 engine companies, 5 truck companies, 3 squad(rescue) companies, and 12 ambulances that run out of 3 battalions each with a chief. Minimum staffing for all suppression units is 3, ambulances is 2 with one being a minimum of VAEMT-I. Some of the rural stations also have tankers and bruch trucks that are only used when needed. We also have an Air/Light unit that is manned everyday and is dispatched to all working fires.

We also have regional Technical Rescue, Hazmat, and Water rescue/Ground search teams.

We are acredited by the International Assoc. of Fire Chiefs.

The Division responds to over 33,000 fire and ems calls yearly.

I am assigned to Truck 6 wich is housed @ station 6 . This station is also staffed with an engine and ambulance. The station with all units combined responds to over 6,000 calls a year wich makes it the busiest station in Henrico County.
