Hi all! Just trying to get a feel for what kind of equipment is still in service out there! We've got a 1956 Ward LaFrance that was purchased new by the Dept and is still in active service (although not commonly!). Believe it or not, it's a 750 GPM Pump and is more powerful than a lot of the newer stuff we've got! The newest in the fleet is a 2003 Marion 75' Aerial Ladder. We've got a couple older trucks that are being restored and are collectors, but nothing else that old on the active roster. Anyone else still have good old trucks?

We still have In Service our 1928 Sanford Model #528 Pumper. It has a Buda Model DW-6 Motor and a 500 GPM Waterous Model SB Rotary Gear Pump.

Our oldest in service is our 2ndry rescue pumper, a 1999 Izuzu. Newest is our 2009 Scania Rescue pumper, and the oldest on the station is our antique 1931 Dennis 250 pumper (retired in 1969, around the time policy was introduced that requires no responding appliance to be more than 15 years old)
How about a 1929 Sanford....and it still pumps the way it should.....Paul
Paul, Do you any Pictures of it. I would love to see them.
Are you sure on these trucks??
we have almost the same same thing, ours is a 76 though
we have a 1968 all original Mack refurbished by 4 guys in 1993. Our newest is a 2008 spartan/ 4 guys which replaced a 1992 Spartan 4 guys. The mack has a 750 pump, 1000 gallon tank. The Spartan has a 2000 GPM and 1250 gallon tank, 2 20 gallon foam tanks, no cross lays, attack lines off front bumper (150 foot foam lines) and 2 off rear (200 foot lines)

The newest is on the left, the 1968 Mack is on the right.
Scot...we are restoring our 1929 Sanford...has the same pump and it runs and pumps great...do have any more photos that you might be able to send us...? Thanks.......Paul
A 1975 Dodge/Hamerly used mainly as a brush unit.
The Northville NY (Fulton Co.) Historical Society has an exact mate to this truck. It's solid, but the Buda has a cracked block and head. We're fixing this since it's only in the water jacket. The village threw out the valve train in a fit of cleaning before we got it. Many of the nozzles, and some of the large hoses are missing as well as the siren. We have the searchlight and bell. We'll need a couple of tires also. We have several thousand dollars to use for it. Do you have a source and/or some spart parts for it?
