Recently I got an MIP for alcohol. Im only 17 years old and doing everything i can to get this off my record by the time im 18. My question is Will this hurt my chances of becoming a Paramedic Firefighter in the future? What if it is off my record?

In most if not all cases a minors record is kept sealed once they turn 18 so long as the case is closed and sentence served (whatever the fines are etc) before the birthday. A BCI check only starts from 18th birthday on, so in that instance it won't be on your record. I sure hope you have learned your lesson. If the fire service means that much to you, keep off the sauce until your of age
Thank you very much
And i have definitely learned my lesson
i was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and definitely hangin with the
wrong people
I got my eye on the prize now. Thanks guys.
just remember to be honest about it and you should be fine..... because the polygraph will know whether your telling the truth or not......

just make sure you keep your nose clean now and you should be ok :)
As others have said, be honest about it. If it's a misdemeanor, it's not a big deal. Just own the fact that you screwed the pooch and don't do it again. Once you're legal in your state (21 to purchase in every state) to consume, do so responsibly...until then just don't do it.

I'll tell you, I've screwed-up many times, learned my lessons and moved-on. You do the same thing. Learn from this, own it, and move-on, and you shouldn't have any trouble from it.
