oh, i dont have a number. i am "FF allen", Sometimes whatever truck im in(ie "engine 1"), and/or "scene command" depending..... or "entry team", "ventilation team" "RIT team" "extrication team" it goes on and on. lol
I belong to the Peavine Volunteer Fire Department, just outside of Reno, Nevada...our station is 331 (3 for belonging to the Sierra Fire Protection District of Washoe county, and 31 for our district). this numbering system came about when the county took the volunteers over that formerly belonged to Nevada Division of Forestry. The old NDF stations got the "3" prefix, the volunteers under Reno control (after the merger of Reno FD and the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection Dist.) have the "2" prefix (223. 221, etc)...I know it sounds complicated (and it is)
Amador Fire Protection District in Amador County, CA. Station numbers 141, 111, 122. Engine numbers are 6434, 113, and 231. I work full time and rotate on a 4 month rotation through the 3 stations. I also volunteer at Jackson Volunteer Fire Dept. in Amador County, CA at Sta. 132 with Engine 6332.
