hey sean,
thank's for replying to my question. I read the document u sent me, and it seems to me from what i read that it is ok to use a green flasher in your pv. or is that just a motion to change the law to allow us to use a green flasher? I asked a police officer in july and he told me that it wasn't allowd yet, it had to be passed throwgh leglisation. I don't know aneymore!!!!!!
Our department has received different promotions from companies that sell emergency lighting saying that it's legal now too...our firefighter association is paying for ours, one per firefighter. There are about 8 guys on my dept. (including myself) that have them already, let me tell you, in my area people move out of the way...and the SQ have never said a word about us using them. But we have to act responsibly...or else!

hey sean...
thanks again. I think its a go also, the chief of police in our area told me last week that it was going to be in force in about 1 weak. we are 25 member team, {volunteer} and about 1/2 to 1/4 of us respond with our pv's, and cover 2 municipalites. And with the 4 ways on there are people that just don't know to give us a little room!
We pretty much all respond in our own vehicles, except for the first 3 guys to the station that take the trucks. We cover an area of about 150 square miles, so they do help us. I'm not sure what area you are in, but when you are ready to buy your flashers, I recommend Zone Technologies in Chambly. Their price is good and so is the service. (I have no affiliation with the company...just so you know!!) Like I said, there are about 8 of us that bought ours already, and the 20 that don't have any yet will be coming from there too. We bought Micromax II LED windshield lights, the retails for 169$ each, but since we bought more than 5 they were 100$ each, and when we get the remaining 20 they will be about 90$ each. They are really bright even during the day and they are guaranteed for 5 years. If you contact them, ask for Shawn Sturgeon...he's the LED specialist.
