I need some guidence.....

I am an EMT and firefighter I am looking to become an emergency medical dispatcher however I can not seem to find the correct information I need to become one. Can anyone from NY or someone that knows about this please send me in the correct way or at least tell me where I would be able to get some information,yes I have already spoke with my EMS cap. and fire chief both were of little help to me.

you are going to find that every dispatch center is different, if it is anything like our dispatch center here in ny, after being hired they send you out for the proper training. But i do know of other dispatch centers who are different

the best way to find out would be to ask the center you are looking into
