Does your F.D. allow blood on or not!!!

The department that my dads on is the city and about 15 years ago they stopped allowing anyone that was blood related to be on the department like "dad,son" or "dad,daughter" and so on they allowed my brother in law to stay on because he's not "blood" but 3 other firefighters had to leave and are now on my department which we allow "blood" to join. Just wanted to see what you all do and your views on this issue. I feel its totally wrong because they lost some great firefighters over this, and I cant even consider to join the city untill my dad retires.

You guys and gals are looking into this much deeper than I want to go, I'm not looking to get anybody in trouble here or do I want to stir up something with the city, I was just curious if anyone else had this type of problem in city departments, It's a simple question thats it, I didnt know it it was a city thing or something.

But my brother in law did state that this all came about when the Chief of the department died and his son who was a captain at the time got really upset because he thought he should've been the new Chief, and he did sue the city over it. Thats when the city made this thing happen.

Asking for basic sourcing for this type of allegations isn't going very deep. That goes to basic credibility. If you're not willing to show that there is a credible source for your allegations, don't be surprised if you don't get any helpful answers.

you are still looking into the legal parts of it, my question is nothing about that or am I looking to pursue anything or get anybody in trouble, why would I do that, plus I've gave out to much info then I wanted to so this case is closed.
