I don't mean to be a smarta$$, but instead of posting and waiting for a reply wouldn't it be faster to get help from your F.D? Maybe someone there who's got a pager manual? Your company officer, etc...Just a thought.
It should work the same as a Minitor 5: when a page is received and recorded, just push and release the button on top of the channel selector switch. That should play the recorded message back. Pressing the reset switch on the top corner should stop the message from playing.
A red light on the top of the pager will illuminate when a page has been received and a message recorded. Also, a recording will only take place if the pager decodes a set of tones for which it is programmed.
If your pager does in fact trip with tones (beeps or vibrates) then your stored voice option may not be set up properly for your department's dispatch format.
