When should FFN members post discussions in the forum versus a group discussion?
For example, there is a fairly active Vehicle Extrication Group- should all discussions on vehcile extrication related topics be done in there versus in the public forums?
Is there an informal/formal protocol?
Do the public forums negate the need for group discussion forums?
There's really no set rules or anything here ... there are so many groups and the volume at times is smaller there, that unless its a highly active group where the discussion just gets rolling, usually the general forum rules ... there are some very active group discussions but due to some limitations in the software there's no real way to aggregate them all in one place ... hopefully that will be a feature in the future.

just wanted to know Chief if there are any plans of changing the way the forum questions are setup now to an easier way to navigate through them like a lot of other forums run, and maybe a search bar for the forums
If anyone is interested in the Vehicle Extrication stuff, there has been some fantastic discussions around tactics and equipment for a whole range of scenarios, such as:
- car versus pole
- car versus truck
- car over bridge
- car versus train
When i go to my groups that is what i go for . Where it is posted should be the best for the individual . Some stuff is getting blocked before anyone can answer on forums .
