Hey.....i was wondering if you could tell me how you deal with monthly emotions and other monthly things?? is it hard to deal with it being an EMT/Paramedic??

Remember what they say "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." It really helps at that time of the month. Don't watch sappy movies on duty and don't let anger get the best of you. Walk away. Lots of Ibuprofen or Tylenol. You might get more help from the group Women in Public Safety.

Luckily we only have 2 people to a station and we both have our own room with a TV. If I need an attitude adjustment then I just go to my room! LOL Also, exercise helps with the stress. And if you have a bad call then don't be afraid to talk about it!! As far as the emotions of the job overall. Personally I look at it from the spirtual side. Everyone really has to find their own coping skills but overall talk to others and exercise are probably two very important ones.
