i am currently going through the app process and was wondering if the tattoos on my hands will disqualify me.... I can wear long sleeves to cover up the others but the hands.....? someone please offer some insight...

im keeping a positive and open mind,...right now my goal is to finish my emt training and continue to prep for my cpat and oral exams. Thank you so much everyone, at times it can be disheartening to have those around you not be able to see past your exterior,....but its good to know that i have brothers and sisters in arms that know that character and integrity go deep into the bone.

Personally,

I have a tattoo on my right arm around the sleeve area. My department has a policy that no tattoos can be seen on the arms, everything has to be covered. I am planning on getting another tattoo on my left arm in Hazmat something or another. I wish you the best of luck.

We've got the same rule here too, and we handle a lot of medical calls and thats the main reason why, I'd love to get a tattoo someday, but it'll have to stay hiden and on the down low:)
