Captian Lou Branch
Lou served our community in several different capacities. He joined our department in August of 1985 after serving his country in the Marine Corp. Lou quickly became a cornerstone in our department. The knowledge he offered was only overshadowed by his comapasion for his friends and family. Lou was one of the best firefighters we have had. He held certifications as an interior firefighter, first responder, rescue diver, and hazmat tech. He also spent several years as a Deputy Sheriff protection our citizens even further. He lived life to the fullest and gave everything he did 100%. In his off time, he enjoyed his horses and riding his Harley with his wife. If you ever meet him once, you would remember him forever! Underneath the tough exterior was a heart of an amazing man! Lou was our friend and our brother! Words just can't express how much he will be missed. We know we will all get a chance to be with him again one day and he will be watching over us until that time. Lou passed on the morning of November 9, 2007 of an apparent heart attack.
