I posted back in Feb. that our Scott air packs were contaminated with compressor oil when our Hypress compressors had a malfunction.

Okay here is what we found out.

We shipped the compressor back to Hypress so they could investigate what happened. It turns out that the supplier of the filters for Hypresses compressor shortened the filter by over an inch and when the compressor was running the filter would lift and let the oil get by the filter and into the system and that is how the oil got into our air cylinders.

My question is how can a supplier change the design of the filter that is so important to the safe operation of the compressor?

And eight months after this all started we finally received our airpacks back yesterday.
