Backdraft has always been my favorite movie. Come on, who can forget when that movie first came out, All the "wackers" coming to movie theatre with there pagers one, knowing that they are out of their district, dragged the love ones to see it and they didn't want to. And who can not forget the famous line of the movie, "You go, We go!"
I have to say ladder 49 but Backdraft is a great movie espicially the line "It's a living thing, Brian. It breathes, it eats, and it hates. The only way to beat it is to think like it. To know that this flame will spread this way across the door and up across the ceiling, not because of the physics of flammable liquids, but because it wants to. Some guys on this job, the fire owns them, makes 'em fight it on it's level, but the only way to truly kill it is to love it a little."
But my favorite of all is I now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry For the line " Going in Alive Coming out the Same"

I love them both so much. But I think I would have to say Ladder 49 for me. It's a hard movie to watch though. I cant help but imagine that's what it was like for those firefighters who were trapped in the rubble during 9/11. It breaks my heart to think about it. But...that's why that movie gets my vote.
I really liked Ladder 49, since it seemed more factual and less "hollywood", but I hail from Chicagoland and Backdraft will always be my favorite. Besides, Backdraft came out around the time I was going through the Fire Academy! Stay safe!
