JACKSON, N.J. - An apartment fire in Jackson has left as many as 50 people displaced Tuesday morning.

No injuries were reported in the fire that ripped through building No. 1 at the Jackson Green apartments late Monday night, just after 11 p.m. The roof of the apartment building collapsed into the second floor

Authorities tell the Asbury Park Press that 16 families were affected.

A Red Cross representative says all but two families have found places to stay; the remaining were provided motel rooms.
