3 firefighters hurt in smoky Joliet blaze
(Associated Press)

Fire officials in Joliet say three firefighters were hurt while battling a trash bin blaze that spread into a building.

Authorities say two firefighters suffered heat exhaustion during the Thursday blaze and were taken to a hospital near the scene of the fire. They say the firefighters were evaluated and released. A third firefighter injured his knee while working on the fire.

Battalion chief Brian Lucca says extra equipment and firefighters were called to fight the blaze, which was under control after about 90 minutes.
