2015 Safety and Health Week - What Are YOU Doing?
The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) and the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) have announced the theme for the 2015 International Fire/EMS Safety and Health Week: Creating a Culture of Safety.
Fire and EMS departments are encouraged to suspend all non-emergency activity during the week of June 14-20 and allow all shifts and personnel to focus on safety and health training and education. An entire week is provided to ensure each shift and duty crew can spend at least one day focusing on these critical issues.

we were conduct a sensitisation in health and safety management. KEY MASSAGE organisisng need to define the responsibilities and relationships whch promote a positive health and safety culture and secure the implimentation and continued development of health and safety policy through control,co-operation,communication and competence. The objection was to help the community to contribute to an invironment which is free of injuries,ill health and loss. help identify the competence which individuals need to fulfil their responsibilities. form the basis for measuring individual,group and organisational performance. this also includes ;who is responsible? what are they responsible for? when should the work be done? what is the exspected? We also embarked on fire prevention program which was aime at sensitising and educating the community of fire matters and on the evacuation procedure in case of fire(fire drills). We also did the enforcement of fire and safey regulation.
